It angers me that humility and humiliation are etymologically close cousins. It heartens me that you embodied the former, not least by embracing those moments of the latter, making even small moments feel momentous.

Thanks for this story.

P.S. Luminous photos.

The photos are just spectacular. I've never been to Burning Man, but now I really feel like I'd like to see it one day, to witness all that amazing creativity.

While I’ve yet to experience Burning Man firsthand, your captivating descriptions and awe-inspiring photos have ignited my curiosity and resonated with me on a profound level.

Jeff, your resilience and determination are truly inspiring.

You asked me what I think of how you are doing handling PD...Better then most of us, I am sure, if we had to cope with it. And to attend Burning Man, like you did, is an inspiration to all.

Loved the photos of this article, and of course--the writing. I plan to get your latest book to add to my collection. It is the not knowing of what will be your future that must be the most difficult. But please continue with your writing, whichever way you can. That is your gift to us!

No matter how many times I proof my stories, there always seems to be an embarrassing error. "Showdown" is no exception. Dana Albany's "Release," as any attentive reader will see, does not face the sunrise. She faces the sunset. Oops. I'll correct it on the website, but subscribers will still see my gaffe.
