I remember reading your story of the eclipse in Iran and how a group of women formed a protective chain around you. Brings tears to my eyes even today. I have asked my friend to send me your 108 things book. (She has two signed copies from you). So looking forward to that and your future posts!
You know reg PD talk being sad, we all know physical pain and grief to some extent and relate at least to some extentwhat you have to share. You are not alone in this human experience. Personally I don't mind reading more about it.
Thank you so much, Gargi. And it wasn't just women who rose up to protect me... old men, and even a little boy! I am so glad you're getting your hands on 108 Beloved Objects, I hope you enjoy it.
I’m so happy to have found your profound writings , your great wit which has tickled my funny bon’ues& since the 80’s when you were a guest in my home two blocks from the surf in
Santa Barbara. Those memories have been etched in my brain
Suzanne! Wonderful to hear from you, and thank you so much. Those are unforgettable memories for me, as well. What a wonderful home. Was just thinking about that amazing sitar concert we hosted in your living room!
Hey Jeffji, I just got to the Big World party belatedly, and spent the evening binge reading all the posts in order--but saved the recording of your Iran piece as a treat for the end. I could heap sincere praise on any of the creations you've given us here, but I will just focus on how sweet it was to hear your voice telling me a bedtime story; the perfectly set scene, the sudden eruption of a threat of violence, the beautiful redemption in the heavens and on earth... gorgeous. Thank you.

Awww.... Thank you Sara.
And this world is madly in love with you too, Jeff.
Truth!

That's really great to hear. Thank you so much my friend!
I had that 2001 Clipper model! Great to join your stack (is that the right nomenclature? So hard to stay current as a child of the 1950’s)
Thanks, and welcome! That was a great (and very simple) model. Were you also a member of the "PanAm First Moon Flights Club?"
Not that I remember but that was several galactic rotations ago, neurons don’t fire like they used to (which wasn’t all that much to begin with)
