Jeffji, Your NY post left me in awe and opened my heart. You are so inspiring to share your P -journey so openly, and you continue to have such an artistic way with words. I liove reading your posts … and I love you. xo, Judy
Thanks for this wonderful post, Jeff. We feel some of your pain and also appreciate and honor your perspective. Thanks for sharing these windows into your journey and helping to illuminate ours as well
Happy New Year Jeff. As I read your words drinking coffee and watching the sun rising out of the Sea of Cortez, I feel as if we are having a conversation. I nod my head, I hmmm, I chuckle a bit, and the pain runs through my leg and my hip as I walk alongside you in my mind. I too, worry much what the year, and the next, and the next will bring or should I say take away from us in terms of Parkinson's, but at the end of your essay you got me- I NEED that bumper sticker!
"We acknowledged that we will be there to support each other, and hold each other’s aspirations in mind." --> Sir Greenwald! You have essentially just provided us all with the definition of LOVE as a verb!
That you have been ending out and beginning all these years with your group of close friends continuously for three decades in this spirit is truly golden. One of life's greatest treasures! In, as you say, "the collective spirit of kindness and generosity", Happy 2025! :)
It never fails to amaze me when I catch a little nugget suggesting that my admiration for you and your wise mind are reciprocated! Much love right back at you!!!
Thank you Jeff. I don't know why I gave nothing clever to say except that this was beautifully written, filled with truths, made me sad, made me proud of you, made me realize the big problems out there we need to address. I'd like to sit in a hot tub under the stars in a place shimmering with vortices and inexplicable mysterious currents and talk about life with you.
Happy New Year Jeffji❤️. Looking forward to spending more time with you on our e-bikes traveling your favorite route up to view of the bay. “We fucking love our lives!”
I'm so glad you have what you have in your life...what a blessing, this loving group of friends. It's a little late (but at least still January) and I wish you blessings in 2025!

Amen, brother. That resonates: "[O]ur purpose now lay outside ourselves." May we not stint or hesitate in applying ourselves to it.
(And thank you, as always, for carrying us along with you in mind and body on these travels of your!)
Such a gift.
Read yesterday.
Re-reading tonight as I tuck myself in bed inspired by your words, your journey, and the hope and connections we need to make to be the light.
Beautiful writing, wonderful music.
